As SW engineering manager at HP TV, I led a SW development & quality team that drove the connected TV architecture and the music, photo, and video services that connected to it. Additionally, the TV connected to a DLNA media server hosted on PCs and network attached storage devices and streamed personal content from it.
For processing internet formats (such as DivX and WMV), the TV relied on the Sigma 8622 media-processor. Content protected with the Microsoft DRM and available at download sites such as MovieLink and CinemaNow could also be enjoyed on this TV via link-protection mechanisms such as WMDRM 10 ND.
Network connectivity included 10/100 mbps Ethernet for quality-of-service streaming and 802.11 a/b/g for streaming in noise-free environments.
Retailers include Best Buy and HP Shopping.
